We’ve had lots of birthday’s around these parts lately. My girls Birthday’s are 2 days apart – YIKES!! We had my youngest a bowling party last weekend, this weekend I had squealing, giggling 13/14 year olds at my house. Oh yes – we went there, a slumber party. (That’s OK I left them this morning – I had to work) They were actually pretty good.
We rented movies – One scary, one funny, one – love of course. They wanted Zaxby’s for dinner (fine by me). I had a friend of mine come over to watch the movies and eat and help me keep my head on straight. We decided the scary one first – UM yikes….it scared me. we all ended up on the couches huddled up. It was funny though. We decided scary first, then funny – to balance out. Glad we did 🙂
I went to bed shortly after – and my friend went home. I closed my door and went to bed. Let them do what ever. My hubby and other kiddos stayed at my MILs. I did however have to get up and tell them – they could stay up as long as they like, but please don’t scream anymore – they scared me. 🙂
I surprised my daughter with these cupcakes – she didn’t think I was going to make her any. She had a cake the night before (store-bought – not the same to her) I had made my youngest daughter cupcakes – and had to make my Manager’s b’day cake. So she was upset. so I had her these when she got home – made the M and hearts out of gumpaste.
My Manager is having a big shin dig this weekend for his 50th Birthday – I sort of got volunteered to make the cake – not really sure how that happened. I got my friend to come help me – we did a two tier cake – vanilla with buttercream icing. We also made chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter buttercream (which is what he wanted). I didn’t get any shots of the cupcakes. But here is the cake.
We will see how everyone likes it 🙂
Happy Birthday to your little girls who aren’t so little anymore. 🙂
What a talented baker you are! I had no idea you could make such amazing concoctions and decorate them so beautifully. I am sad to say that my cupcakes can’t hold a candle to yours (no pun intended).
ha ha Thank you 🙂 And thanks – I LOVE to bake!!!!
You made that cake!?!?! It’s INCREDIBLE!!! I’m seriously jealous of your baking skills!
I sure did – a friend and I made it for my boss 🙂 THANK you!!! We really like baking – off this cake we’ve gotten several requests – I’m pretty excited about it -I’m hoping we get better and better 🙂
